Default prop-rod color

I am cleaning my bonnet prop-rod of all the paint on it.What color should it be? My guess is the color of the car,am I right?

I would think so. Seen a few that have been chromed but not to my liking. Body colour is the way to go IMHO

Wern't the props primered in white? Unless you're really careful and even if you are the top end of the prop rod is going to eventually take a ding from the hole.
